Pink Pump shoe store to open in ex-John Leidy Shop in Ann Arbor
A store more shoes Oakland County will open its fourth store in Ann Arbor this summer in the building that housed the John Leidy Shop on East Liberty for decades.
With the change, the space that used to sell some of the more traditional household Ann Arbor will be transformed into what Pink Pump owner Tawny Thieu called "very girly chic."
"It will be very fun and very cool," said Thieu. And, she added, "all pink.''
Thieu had been looking for a place in Ann Arbor for the past year.Thieu plans to open by early July that his store joins the hub of fashion more and more in the state and the corridors of Liberty.
She wanted to be downtown, near campus and in the midst of independent clothing retailers, since his company thrives on the kind of foot traffic of a group of stores can generate. And she liked the proximity of some chain stores, restaurants, but not too much.
